Please take a moment to read our terms laid out below. We will ask you to sign agreeing to these terms prior to us offering any services. Our terms are simple and contain no small print.
We charge $60/hour. Our minimum charge is $60, so we will always charge for a full first hour. Additional time, should it be required, is charged in 15 minute increments. You agree to pay the amount due promptly on completion of our work. We will provide a written quotation, in advance, on request. We accept Cash, Visa, Master Card, American Express and Discover cards. Sorry, we do not accept checks.
We commit to provide quality support and service based on our nearly 30 years of Mac experience. In the event that we are unable to resolve your Mac's issue, we reserve the right to refer you to a qualified third-party.
We keep normal business hours (Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm). However, we recognize that some of our clients will need support outside these hours. We will provide evening and weekend support on an "as-available" basis. We do not charge a premium for this.
When working on any computer, and particularly those that may be sick, there is always a risk of data loss. Indeed, that is why we strongly recommend a two-prong back-up strategy. In the event of any data loss during our best efforts, you agree to indemnify and hold The Mac Engineer, our employees, contractors and insurers harmless.
We will not, under any circumstances, retain any of your confidential information. Specifically this includes passwords, any files that we may have had access to and your credit card information. We will only retain a record of your basic contact information (name, address, etc) and notes on the work that we undertook. We will never share this retained information with any other party unless you specifically ask us to. We ask that you promptly change any password(s) that you may have shared with us.
If you are pleased with our work, we would love you to tell your friends, family and neighbors. In the very unlikely event that you are unhappy with our work, please at least tell us first.
